Tools Required:

  • T6 x 2.5” screwdriver
  • Q-Tips
  • Tweezers (optional but helpful)
  • Alcohol wipes
  • Molykote #4 grease

Plate Removal and Cleaning

  1. Remove the plate surrounding the power button - turn off and dry the monitors and use the T6 driver to remove the two screws on either end of the plate
  1. Clear out obvious debris - if there’s any salt or debris in the cavity, remove with tweezers
  1. Clean button area with alcohol wipe - wipe down the button area to make sure nothing is in the way of button function
  1. Apply Molykote grease around the buttons - not a necessary step but will help keep the buttons more water resistant
  1. Replace the plate and screws - screw the plate back in with the T6 driver
⚠️

Be sure not to over-tighten! Stripping these screws will eliminate this option in the future
