University Wi-Fi Requires MAC Address
If connecting to a university WiFi network, the school requires this address to validate the connection
Finding Your Monitor’s Wi-Fi MAC Address
When connecting your monitor to a university Wi-Fi network that requires MAC address registration, you’ll need to locate the device’s Wi-Fi MAC address. Here’s how:
- Open system settings on your monitor Settings → System Settings (bottom of the menu)

- Select About Phone at the bottom of the system settings menu
- Find Device WiFi MAC Address - this is the number you’ll provide the university to access the internet

The format of the MAC address is XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX . Yes, including the semicolons!
Tips & Troubleshooting
- Check the format: A MAC address always has six pairs of numbers/letters separated by colons (e.g.
A1:B2:C3:D4:E5:F6).
- Still can’t find it? If the Device Wi-Fi MAC Address doesn’t appear under About phone, try looking here instead:
- Settings → Network & Internet → Wi-Fi → Advanced
- Before connecting: Make sure you copy the Device Wi-Fi MAC address when registering with your university. Using the wrong one (like a Bluetooth address or IP address) will prevent your monitor from connecting.
