Connecting Oarlocks – XBoat

Smart Oarlocks pair to the Rowing Monitor at each seat. Once configured, the Rowing Monitor automatically re-connects to the configured Oarlocks when an XPod is attached and active.

Oarlock Pairing Prerequisites.

XBoat Smart Oarlocks installed

Charged, awake XPod attached to Oarlock Force Sensor

Rowing Monitors installed at their desired rowing position

1) Tap the Oarlocks menu tile to begin configuration

Tap the oarlocks menu tile in the bottom center

2) Select a rowing discipline. Only oarlocks from the selected discipline will be eligible to pair

3) Press NEXT DEVICE until the Rowing Monitor presents an oarlock serial number matching the oarlock at the monitor’s position.

Assign the oarlock to a side by selecting STBD (bow side) or PORT (stroke side)

Assign an oarlock it’s installed side by checking the serial number on the front edge of the gate

4) The configured oarlock is now ready to be calibrated and zeroed.

The monitor will first prompt you to swing the gates in order to complete the calibration

After angles are detected, the connection indicator in the top left will be green if the oarlock has sufficient battery for a session

The text inside the angle indicator dial informs the user on the calibration status of the connected oarlock

Once connected, the monitor will prompt you to swing the gate to complete calibration
