Monitor Release Notes (Beta)
0.4.0.7 (853) - July 30th, 2026
🚀 New Features
- Intelligent Force Zeroing - Force and angle zeroing are now smarter, and are accompanied with an improved UI in the Oarlocks screen
- Force and angle can be manually zeroed accurately with a simple tap, with built-in steadiness detection to prevent a bad zero.
- If a better zero is detected during a rowing session with high confidence, it's applied automatically.
- To re-zero during a rowing session, hold your oar(s) motionless for 15 seconds with no force on the handle.
- Automatic zeroing can be disabled via the settings menu if you’d like to use manual zeroing taps only.
- Adaptive and Manual Brightness Control - Brightness can be set to automatic or manual, with a slider option. Found in the settings menu.
- Axis Line Visibility - Low, Medium, High settings for graph axis line visibility for improved visualization of force, handle speed, and boat acceleration
- Configurable Oarlock Pitch - Your oarlock pitch can be recorded for tracking purposes. Available via the oarlock pitch setting in Settings > Rowing Physics submenu.
- Refined Default Position of Blade Force - More accurate blade force position in line with literature and on-water test results
- Blade force position is the distance from the tip of the oar where we assume force is applied to the blade. Blades are asymmetric, so we’ve found that center of blade force is best assumped to be in a fixed position relative to the tip of the oar
- Sweep default value has changed from 27.5 cm to 15 cm
- Sculling default value has changed from 22.5 cm to 12 cm
- The impact is a higher force reading, power reading that previous beta versions
- 24-Hour Clock - Added 24-hour clock option in settings.
⚙ Fixes & Reliability
