Data Rates

Change Data Rate

Navigate to the settings menu and select Data Rate in the Data section

To change the data collection speed, select Data Rate in the settings

Choose Auto, 20 Hz, or 50 Hz depending on your needs. Each option is defined below.

Disconnect and reconnect your XPods from your oarlocks to reset the units

Select which option best suits your crew’s needs

Auto

Allow XBoat to determine the best data rate, balancing data resolution and battery life by dynamically changing the data rate based on the stroke rate

50hz

Our highest data rate, capturing high resolution details of every stroke. At 50hz you will be able to see small changes in force that can be smoothed together at lower data rates

20hz

Our most efficient data rate, optimizing for long battery life, without sacrifcing accuracy of key metrics like catch angle, slip, power, and work. At 20hz, the force curve will appear smoother
