Each Row
- Rinse salt water off the outside of XBoat Oarlocks and XPods with fresh water
- Leave the XPod attached to the oarlock to minimize exposure to salty water and air
When Re-Charging
- Gently wipe away any salt deposits with a clean, damp cloth
- Use 4:1 water and white vinegar solution for cleaning salty parts
- Do not scrub the XPod contacts with abrasives or other cleaning agents

Each Month
- Clean and dry electrical contacts
- Apply a thin film of dielectric grease to the contacts
Do not use automotive greases, marine lubricants, or household lubricants
Do not allow debris, dirt, or salt into the grease layer
Angle Reference Care
The life of the angle reference may be extended by performing the following maintenance routine
- Remove and clean the Angle Reference screw
- Apply a thin coat of dielectric grease to the screw threads
- Replace the screw and tighten normally
- Wipe away excess grease, if any
